The All New MAXUS Electric Vehicle
GAZ Group will use the 2008 IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover for the world premier of the very first MAXUS electric vehicle.

The fully driveable MAXUS Electric vehicle prototype is currently on test with key customers and boasts excellent payload, a short battery recharge time and ultra simple maintenance. Diesel drivers within large fleets will notice little difference between their existing vehicle and the new MAXUS electric vehicle.
Key features of the new MAXUS electric vehicle include:
- Choice of MAXUS Van or MAXUS Chassis Cab
- Ability to optimise range, payload and top speeds to meet individual customer requirements
- Five-speed manual transmission

- Top speed of 55 miles per hour (based on current prototype)
- Range of 85 miles (based on current prototype)
- Charge time: 4 hrs (3 phase). Vehicle can also be charged via single phase
- Battery life – approximately 2000 cycles (from fully charged to discharged)
- Excellent packaging with the battery located between the chassis rails allowing safe weight distribution
- Ultra simple maintenance
- Full gearbox utilisation giving maximum torque for all speeds
- Tailpipe CO2 emissions: Zero

We have a responsibility as a manufacturer to look to the future and in particular the effects carbon emissions and vehicle pollutants are having on the environment. We have therefore produced a vehicle which actively combats these environmental challenges as well as reducing increasing fuel bills.
